This hiking treasure of the wild homeland can be discovered directly from our campsite: Stamp tour number 6 is the hiking trail “Auf den Weinberg zu Herzog Wilhelm” with a view over the Weser circuit from Rühle. It is amoderately difficult hike with mostly easy paths, which takes about 2.5 hours and is about 9 km long. A good basic level of fitness and surefootedness are required.
History: In gratitude for the liberation from the “Fronzins”, a monument was erected by the inhabitants of Rühl on the vineyard in honor and memory of the last reigning Duke Wilhelm zu Braunschweig und Lüneburg between 1908 and 1909, where stamp station 6 is located. Situated high up on the hill, it not only offers exciting insights into history, but also a fantastic view of the surrounding area. Ideal for a short break to enjoy the view of the Weser!
