If a sleeping barrel is too rustic for you, you can book one of the two vacation rooms in the main building. They are furnished in a more modern style, offer a view of the Weser, bed linen and towels are already included, and the bathroom and kitchen are right next door for free use. Parking spaces are available directly in front of the house – ideal if you want to bring as little luggage as possible.
What is included in the sleeping barrel – and what is not?
Included are a comfortable double bed (transverse or lengthways sleeping option available), electricity and light, electric heating for cooler days, a private terrace with table and chairs and bicycle storage facilities right next to the barrel. You can use all the campsite facilities, including the communal kitchen in the main building. Bed linen costs an optional €10 per set, towels €5/person. The sanitary facilities are shared with the other camping guests.
What are the sleeping barrels and who are they suitable for?
The sleeping barrels are rustic wooden barrels with a double bed, a wide window front and their own small barrel terrace. There are six in total: five barrels for 2 people each and one family barrel for up to 4 people. They are located either centrally on the campsite or directly on the banks of the Weser and are particularly popular with cyclists, nature lovers and couples looking for a micro-adventure with comfort.
How many people can stay overnight per pitch?
A maximum of 6 people are allowed per pitch. Only one camping object is allowed on a pitch – i.e. either a caravan, a motorhome or a family tent; exceptions are only made for your own children. Additional visitor tents are not permitted.
Are the parking spaces parceled out?
No. It is a well-kept grass campsite with non-parceled, generously sized pitches. This ensures an open, relaxed camping feeling without narrow boundaries. Each pitch has a power supply; water connections are located at regular intervals on the Weser meadow.
What accommodation options are there?
There are four options in total: a classic pitch for a tent, caravan or motorhome on the Weser meadow, an overnight stay in a sleeping barrel, a vacation room in the main building or a fixed rental caravan. This means that everything is possible, from “fully self-equipped” to “travel with just a travel bag”.
Can teenagers go on vacation with you alone?
No. Young people under the age of 18 may only stay overnight on the campsite if accompanied by an adult supervisor.
Do all fellow travelers, visitors, dogs and vehicles have to be registered?
Yes, every person – regardless of whether they are fellow travelers or day visitors – as well as dogs and vehicles must be registered at reception without exception and pay the personal fee due. If all persons, animals and vehicles have already been entered when booking online and the booking documents have arrived by post, additional personal registration is no longer necessary. Unregistered persons must leave the pitch and will be charged ten times the pitch fee.
What happens if I arrive before 3 pm?
Anyone arriving before 3 p.m. is asked to wait in the large waiting parking lot in front of the barrier (meadow) so that entrances remain free and everything can be arranged in a relaxed manner. The experience of many guests is: first arrive and let arrive, then register – vacation pace.
Depending on availability, there is the option of early check-in (until 12 noon). The fee for early check-in is €10.
