The BigBand Festival in Holzminden will once again take place on Whitsun 22.05. to 24.05.2026! A great line-up invites you to visit with free admission.

Polle is a particularly fairytale-like place. Cinderella from the world-famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale is at home here and enchants fairy tale fans of all ages. This year too, the Cinderella play will be performed every fourth Sunday from May to September at 15:00.

In a fresh, modern version with a new text and some new costumes, play scenes alternate with storytelling. A fairytale grandmother reads out some passages from the fairytale and one or two scenes are acted out. In addition to Cinderella with the doves, stepsisters, stepmother, father and prince, a fairy is also part of the cast. The doves are still played by the youngest members. The play lasts approx. 30 minutes and admission is free.

Wine lovers, watch out! When Holzminden’s scented garden turns into a vinotheque from 29.05. to 31.05.2026, it’s wine festival time again in the city of scents and flavors. Every May, fans of fine grape juice can enjoy exquisite wines from various wine-growing regions with a view of the Weser at the Holzminden Wine Festival.

As part of the Felgenfest, there will be a colorful medieval hustle and bustle at the medieval camp in Bodenwerder. Immerse yourself in this historically special time, join in the fun and play!

“Get on your bike on Rim Festival Day” – that’s the motto again in the Weserbergland on 07.06.2026. On the event route along the Weser – from Bodenwerder to Rinteln – which is closed to car traffic for the whole day, all participants big and small can experience this unique day in the region by bike, on inline skates and on foot.

On 27.06.2026, the canoe club will be paddling again on the Weser in Hameln, inviting you to the annual dragon boat fun regatta on the club grounds at the harbor tip. Visitors can also look forward to a varied supporting program and culinary delights.

From 03.07. to 05.07.2026, the Einbecker Oldtimertage will transform the cityscape of the small town in southern Lower Saxony. Modern and historic vehicles attract thousands of visitors from near and far to the PS.SPEICHER, Europe’s largest classic car museum, and to Einbeck’s town center.

• Highlight: The PS.SPEICHER rally will take place as an exit on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and ends with the finish directly on the Einbeck market square.
• Tradition: On Sunday, July 5, 2026, the big classic car parade through the city will delight visitors and lead the classic treasures through the streets of Einbeck.

From July 10 to 12, 2026, ANNO 1250 will take place in the Archaeology Park (former State Garden Show) in Höxter. The historic rampart brings medieval hustle and bustle to the Weserbergland.

All the bands have just one mission: to put the Pied Piper town in a state of emergency for 3 days (from 28 to 30.08.2026)! From rock to soul, from pop to punk, this city festival leaves nothing out.

Bands who know their craft and love their audience, plus plenty of stalls, cold beer and of course lots of activities for the whole family! At the city festival, the 6 stages are not assigned to a fixed direction, but rather you should move around the festival over the 3 days and enjoy music at various stations. The two DJ areas “Summer Beats Stage” and the “Pflasterfest Tower” round off the extensive live program!

Fancy an unforgettable evening with good music and delicious food? Then come to Baron on Fire – the open-air party on Saturday, 05.09.2026, from 17:00 in Bodenwerder Town Hall Park! The party for the 18th state competition of the Lower Saxony fire departments, which is taking place this year in the Münchhausen town of Bodenwerder.

Look forward to a fantastic mix of live music and DJ sets. Baron, DJs2Mix and Kapelle will provide the best beats and a great atmosphere that will keep you going all night long.
